An error code appears on the display of the FX-972

If the buzzer sounds and an alphabetic error code is shown on the display while using an FX-972, please confirm the following.

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet, and start checking and taking action.
Please contact the store of purchase or Hakko's official distributor if the error does not disappear after you take the necessary action.

Soldering iron error

Are the handpieces connected to the both channels?

Are the handpieces connected to the both channels?

If there is a channel that the handpiece is not connected to, press and hold its channel button for 2 seconds to turn off the power.

When a channel is turned off, "OFF" will be displayed.

Is the handpiece plug about to be disconnected from the unit(station)?

Connect the handpiece plug to the unit (station) firmly.

Is an incompatible handpiece other than FX-9701, FX-9702, FX-9703, FX-9704, FX-9705, FX-9706, FX-9707 and FX-9708 connected?

Is an incompatible handpiece other than FX-9701, FX-9702, FX-9703, FX-9704, FX-9705, FX-9706, FX-9707 and FX-9708 connected?

After confirming the handpiece is correct, connect the handpiece plug to the unit (station) firmly.

Is the soldering tip inserted into the handpiece properly until it stops at the end?

Low temperature alarm
The error code is displayed and the buzzer sounds when the tip temperature drops below the set temperature range while soldering.

e.g. Temperature setting: 350℃, Low temperature alarm: 50℃
It warns with an error code and sound when the sensor temperature in the tip becomes lower than 300℃.

Please also check whether no poor soldering occurs due to insufficient heat when getting an error notice.
