Another use for hot air blowers and preheaters

Did you know that hot air blowers and preheaters (bottom heaters) for rework are also suitable for shrinking heat-shrink tubing in addition to chip repair work?

With the current trends toward smaller and lighter weight for all kinds of products, P.W.B. are also becoming smaller, resulting in demands for hot air blowers that can fit in small spaces and also that will not affect surrounding areas.
For such purposes, attaching the optional single nozzle to the hot air blower enables specific tubes to be shrunk in small areas without affecting surrounding areas.
The preheater (bottom heater) is also convenient for bulk shrinking of heat-shrink tubing.

For the FR series used for rework, by just attaching one of the single nozzles indicated below, it becomes a device for shrinking heat-shrink tubing.

Single nozzles are available in a total of five sizes including the 3 shown below. For details, refer to the following page.

Optional nozzles: Single nozzles

The four nozzles shown below can be used. The ø2.0 size is included at the time of purchase.
It can be used as shown in the photo or in small spaces inside equipment to easily shrink tubes.
In particular, the HAKKO 851 grip is thinner than the FR series hot air blowers, and is ideal for work in dense area.

In addition to use for rework, by holding a bundle of shrink-wrap tubing over the preheater blow outlet, several heat-shrink tubes can be shrunk at the same time.
