Is the tip temperature lower than the set temperature? If you feel that solder does not melt easily

If you feel that the tip temperature is lower than the set temperature and solder does not melt easily when using FX-888D, there are 2 possible reasons.

Case 1. Consumables have deteriorated Case 1. Consumables have deteriorated

If consumables parts have deteriorated and the enclosure pipe and nut are rusted or deformed, the temperature may appear lower.
Perform maintenance on the parts or replace them with new parts.

After replacing parts, please check if the set temperature and actual tip temperature match with a thermometer.
If they do not match, please adjust the temperature in the adjust mode.

If you have a temperature-controlled soldering iron, we recommend measuring the tip temperature with a thermometer before operation and adjusting the temperature as necessary.

If none of these cases apply to you or if these measures do not resolve the problem, please contact the store of purchasae or the Hakko's official distributor for solution.
