Does not the set temperature match the measured temperature? How to adjust the temperature for FX-888D (Adjust mode)

There may be a gap between the set temperature and the tip temperature when replacing of tip or heating element.
In this case, please adjust the temperature with the following procedure.
Temperature adjustment is to adjust the tip temperature so that it is the same as the set temperature.

Temperature adjustment procedure (Example: In case of the set temperature is 350℃ and the tip temperature is 453℃)

1. Measure the tip temperature by using a thermometer.

   

   Set temperature: 350℃
   Measured temperature: 453℃

2. Press and hold the "UP" button of FX-888D until the display switches to adjust mode.

   * The method of switching to adjust mode differs depending on the version of the unit you have.

   

   Keep pressing the "UP" button of FX-888D for at least 2 seconds.

   

   Press the "ENTER" button once "A.d.J" is displayed.
   (Depending on the version of the unit you have, some may not show up "A.d.J" and switch directly to adjust mode.)

   

   It switches to the adjust mode and the display shows "3.5.0".

3. Enter the measured tip temperature(=453℃) starting from the hundredth place.

   

   "3" of the hundredth place begins to flash.
   Changing the hundredth place to "4" by pressing the "UP " button and press the "ENTER" button.

   In the adjust mode, it is not possible to enter more than plus or minus 150℃ against the set temperature.
   If the difference between the set temperature and the measured temperature exceeds 150℃, adjust the temperature plus or minus 150℃ against the set temperature once. And then measure the tip temperature again and enter the temperature.

4. Enter the tenth place.

   

   "5" of tenth place begins to flash.
   The actual tip temperature is also "5" of the tenth place. Therefore, just press the "ENTER" button.

5. Enter the first place.

   

   "0" of the first place begins to flash.
   Changing the first place to "3" by pressing the "UP" button and press the "ENTER" button.

6. FX-888D begins to adjust the temperature.

   

   After finishing the temperature adjustment, the LED heater lamp changes flashing.

   

7. Adjustment of the set temperature and the tip temperature is completed.

   

   Set temperature: 350℃
   Measured temperature: 350℃
