There may be a gap between the set temperature and the tip temperature when replacing of tip or heating element.
In this case, please adjust the temperature with the following procedure.
Temperature adjustment is to adjust the tip temperature so that it is the same as the set temperature.
Set temperature: 350℃
Measured temperature: 453℃
* The method of switching to adjust mode differs depending on the version of the unit you have.
Keep pressing the "UP" button of FX-888D for at least 2 seconds.
Press the "ENTER" button once "A.d.J" is displayed.
(Depending on the version of the unit you have, some may not show up "A.d.J" and switch directly to adjust mode.)
It switches to the adjust mode and the display shows "3.5.0".
"3" of the hundredth place begins to flash.
Changing the hundredth place to "4" by pressing the "UP " button and press the "ENTER" button.
In the adjust mode, it is not possible to enter more than plus or minus 150℃ against the set temperature.
If the difference between the set temperature and the measured temperature exceeds 150℃, adjust the temperature plus or minus 150℃ against the set temperature once. And then measure the tip temperature again and enter the temperature.
"5" of tenth place begins to flash.
The actual tip temperature is also "5" of the tenth place. Therefore, just press the "ENTER" button.
"0" of the first place begins to flash.
Changing the first place to "3" by pressing the "UP" button and press the "ENTER" button.
Set temperature: 350℃
Measured temperature: 350℃
