Cleaning sponge

Advantage: It covers a wide range of use, from wiping solder gently to removing oxides.

Cleaning wire

Advantage: It takes off oxides or excessive solder but leaves a small amount of solder on the tip and helps to slow down oxidation after cleaning.

Preparation

  1. Iron holder

    1. Dampen a cleaning sponge, squeeze lightly, and place it on the iron holder base.
    2. Put a cleaning wire into the iron holder.

Remove the cover from the iron holder.
Lift the cover by pressing the black plastic button.

Put the cleaning wire inside the iron holder.

  2. Connect the handpiece to the station.

    1. Connect the cord assembly to the receptacle firmly to the end.

Whenever disconnecting or connecting the cord assembly, please make sure to power off the switch. Otherwise, the PWB may be damaged.

    2. Place the handpiece into the iron holder.
    3. Plug the power cord into a power supply.
  3. Turn on the power switch.

There is a power switch on the side of the station.
After turning on the power switch, "8.8.8." will be displayed for two seconds, and then the set temperature will be shown for two seconds.
A brand new station displays "350", which is a factory default setting temperature.
"8.8.8." will be displayed for two seconds.
The setting temperature will be shown for two seconds.
When it will reach at the set temperature, the LED lamp will flash.

Even a new soldering tip will get oxidized if leaving the iron powered on for over 30 minutes, and solder does not wet on the tip.
Feed the solder to the the tip to cover the tip surface as soon as the temperature rises enough to melt the solder after being powered on.

Now it is ready for use!
