How to replace a tip by using the iron holder (FX-9701/FX-9702)

A newly designed iron holder makes you replace the tip quickly and safely by using tip removing attachment and tip insertion holder.

 

Soldering iron FX-9701: Replacing the tip

For safety purposes and to prevent damage to the product, make sure to hold the iron holder firmly with your hand.

  1. Turn the power OFF.

  2. Insert the soldering iron in the "right side groove" of the tip removing attachment.

    Insert the tip until the handpiece contacts the "right side groove" (red circle).

  3. Pull the soldering iron straight out.

    Pull the handpiece straight out, holding the iron holder firmly with your hand, and remove the tip.

  4. Attach another tip.

    Insert another tip, which is sitting on the tip insertion holder, into the handpiece firmly.

    Be careful not to press down too much. Otherwise, tip or handpiece may get damaged.

  5. Completed.

    The tip replacement has been completed.

Cool the tip in the tip removing attachment, and then rotate it to pull it out.

After replacement, the tip remains at a high temperature for a long period of time.
Take care not to get burned.

 

N2 Soldering iron FX-9702: Replacing the tip

For safety purposes and to prevent damage to the product, make sure to hold the iron holder firmly with your hand.

  1. Turn the power OFF.

  2. Insert the handpiece in the "left side groove" of the tip removing attachment.

    Insert the tip until the handpiece contacts the "left side groove" (red circle).

  3. Pull the handpiece straight out, and remove the nozzle assembly.

    Pull the handpiece straight out, holding the iron holder with your hand.

  4. Pull the handpiece straight out, holding the iron holder with your hand.

    Insert the tip until the handpiece contacts the "right side groove" (red circle point).

  5. Pull the handpiece straight out.

    Pull the handpiece straight out , holding the iron holder with your hand.

  6. Attach another tip.

    Insert another tip, which is sitting on the tip insertion holder, into the soldering iron firmly.

    Be careful not to press down too much. Otherwise, tip or handpiece may get damaged.

  7. Insert the nozzle assembly into the handpiece.

    Insert the soldering iron into the nozzle assembly on the "left side groove" of the tip removing attachment.

  8. Attach the nozzle assembly firmly.

    Insert the tip in the hole of the tip insertion holder(red circle), and attach the nozzle assembly firmly to it.

    Be careful not to press down too much. Otherwise, tip or handpiece may get damaged.

  9. Completed.
