Removing QFP or SOP

SMD TYPE Quad and Tunnel, which are capable of heating plural pins or lead wires at once, are recommended.

[ How to select the size ] Select the head not by the number of pins but by the package size [length x width x height] including legs.

[ The tip before soldering ] Apply solder to the tip end before operating. NOTE: Applying sufficient solder makes removing easier.

Use SMD Type : Shape Quad

This shape is capable of heating IC lead wires on all 4 sides at the same time. It is used for removal of QFP.

1. Apply flux to the leads. (See the movie.) 2. Warm the IC. 3. Remove it using tweezers, etc. See the movie for further details,

Use SMD Type : Shape Tunnel

This shape is capable of heating IC lead wires on 2 sides at the same time. It is used for removal of SOP.
