Is this unit applicable to any lead wire?
On the HAKKO FT-800 unit, the temperature can be set between 200 and 800ºC, making it applicable to Teflon and silicon wires which are hard to strip. For wire diameter, the unit is applicable to lead wires up to a maximum of AWG 18* or a wire diameter of approx. 6mm.
* AWG is the abbreviation for American Wire Gauge, an indication of wire diameter. The smaller the number, the larger the diameter.

Use this blade for line shapes to which G1-1603 and G1-1604 are not applicable.
* The blades can be opened by approx. 6mm maximum. Therefore, it is applicable to lead wires having 6mm diameter maximum.
