Loosen the angle adjusting knob and direct the device toward the target item to eliminate static. Adjust the position and tilt and tighten the knob. The static elimination effects increase by bringing the device nearer to a charged object and by increasing airflow volume. The device is designed to maintain a high level of safety and to allow easy maintenance.

Three features to increase safety level
1 Fan Lock Lamp signals that foreign matter has gotten into the fan and that it is interfering with the fan rotation.
2 High Voltage Lamp signals that dust is adhering around the electrodes or a failure occurred in internal components due to a shock, such as the device falling.
3 Removal of the cover automatically shuts off the power.

Three features making daily maintenance easy
1Easy replacement of electrodes

Replacement of electrodes is possible only by turning the center knob counterclockwise.
Dust in the air adheres to the tip of an electrode, and the electrode tip gets dark. The dirt is usually removed by cleaning with alcohol. However, cleaning tough dirt may become impossible. In this case, replacing electrodes is required.

3Easy replacement of filter on the back

The filter prevents dust and foreign matter from getting into the HAKKO FE-500. To maintain the effects of the filter, the filter must be removed and cleaned occasionally. If the dirt cannot be removed by washing with water, replace the filter with a new one.
The filter is secured with a cover. The filter and cover can be removed without tools.
