If the sucking capability is reduced, insufficient cleaning of the following 5 sections is assumed.


Insert a cleaning pin suitable for the nozzle diameter into the nozzle hole to clean it.

It is necessary to heat the nozzle before cleaning. The nozzle and other components are at high temperatures. Be sure to wear gloves and clean them carefully.

If the cleaning pin cannot be inserted:

If the problem cannot be solved with a cleaning pin, use a cleaning drill. However, if a cleaning drill is used, the inside of the nozzle may be scraped, accelerating the deterioration.

1. Insert a cleaning drill suitable for the nozzle diameter while turning it clockwise.
Failure to turn the cleaning drill when inserting or forcibly inserting the drill may damage the drill.

2. Pull the cleaning drill out straight.
It is necessary to heat the nozzle before cleaning. The nozzle and other components are at high temperatures. Be sure to wear gloves and clean them carefully.

If it is impossible to solve the clogging failure even by using a cleaning drill, replace the nozzle with a new one.When replacing the nozzle, apply anti-seizure lubricant to the thread section. However, for HAKKO 808 and for HAKKO 809 ( handpiece of HAKKO 474 and HAKKO 475), it is unnecessary to apply anti-seizure lubricant.
