Point 1. Pull out the plug from the wall socket if not using the soldering iron for a long time. |

When the soldering iron is left on the iron holder with power switched on for a long time, the tip end will become blackened and oxidized, causing the wetting characteristics to deteriorate. If tip wetting is deteriorated, heat cannot be transferred properly, preventing normal soldering. >> To recover the wetting characteristics of the oxidized tip, use HAKKO FS-100 (chemical paste).
