POINT 1. Reason why the unit is not judged as GOOD |

| First, check whether the HAKKO 498 operates normally by the POINT 2 (Simple daily check). The reasons why it may be judged as HIGH even though the HAKKO 498 is operating normally are as follows: •The wrist strap is loose. •The grounding wire for the wrist strap is broken. (For the check method, click here.) •Measurement is performed with a dry hand. The reasons why it may be judged as LOW even though the HAKKO 498 is operating normally are as follows: •The resistor in the wrist strap is short-circuited. (*1). •Measurement is performed with a wet hand. *1 The HAKKO grounding wire for wrist strap is equipped with a 1MΩ resistor. ![]() |
