What kind of maintenance work is needed after soldering?
Use a nonmetallic brush to remove flux and solder detritus from the cutting blade, feed gears, and other parts to which it has adhered.
A buildup of such detritus prevents the groove from being cut cleanly.
Flux that builds up in the tube unit cannot be removed. If solder builds up inside the tube, replace it with a new product.
Always use tools when cleaning to avoid injuring yourself on the cutting blade.
