If the sucking capability is reduced, insufficient cleaning of the following 5 sections is assumed.


Cleaning the vacuum outlet retainer

Check each component of the vacuum outlet retainer according to the following procedures.
The photo shows an example using HAKKO 474 (desoldering tool).
Position of each component of the vacuum outlet retainer  (HAKKO 474)

1.Remove the vacuum outlet cap to check the ceramic paper filter (S).
If the filter is stiff with flux, replace it with a new one.

2.Check the vacuum outlet cap, filter retainer and vacuum outlet retainer.
If flux remains on each component, clean it with alcohol.
If the vacuum outlet cap is broken, replace it with a new one.

[ Assembling the vacuum outlet retainer ]
1. Install the ceramic paper filter (S) in the filter retainer.
If the ceramic paper filter (L) is installed by mistake, the performance may be decreased or the unit may malfunction at an early stage.
2. Apply silicone grease to the O-ring of the vacuum outlet retainer.
3. Attach the filter retainer to the vacuum outlet retainer.
4. Install the vacuum outlet cap in the vacuum outlet retainer and tighten it.
If it is insufficiently tightened, air leakage may occur.
Apply silicone grease to the O-ring and then install the vacuum outlet cap.
