| When melting solder on areas like the following, high heat capacity may be required. |
- Multilayer P.W.B.s, power supplies for through-hole P.W.B.s, and grounding lines
- High-capacity transistors and triacs with heat radiation fins
- Tuner P.W.B. ground wires and large-scale transformer terminals
|
| In the above cases, use a preheating hot air oven or heating gun to heat the P.W.B.s entirely to approx. 70°C (160°F) to 80°C(180°F) so that the P.W.B.s or components will not be damaged before desoldering. |
|
The preheating hot air oven: HAKKO
887B is suitable for the following operations:
·Aging of P.W.B.s and components
·Preheating before soldering
·Processing of heat-shrink tube and drying of adhesive agents |
|
The HAKKO heating gun is suitable for the following operations as well as heating the P.W.B.
·Drying paint locally
·Heat-shrinking of film
·Processing of heat-shrink tube
·Bending of PVC pipe |
