Maintenance Method for the HAKKO 498
CASE1 The lamps are darker than usual.
Both lamps are lit at the same time.
Buzzer sound is weak or buzzer does not sound.
CASE2 The lamp is not lit and the buzzer does not sound.
CASE3 The HIGH lamp remains lit.

CASE 1.
The lamps are darker than usual.
Both lamps are lit at the same time.
Buzzer sound is weak or buzzer does not sound.
The batteries may be dead.
If the batteries are running low, the lamp is darker than usual and two lamps are lit at the same time.
* If the buzzer does not sound, it is possible that the inside buzzer is detached due to strong impact such as dropping. (Case 2)

対処方法

Replace the battery with a new one (006P 9V). (For the simple check method after replacement, click here.)

If the malfunction continues even after replacing the old battery with a new one:
Send it to the place of purchase for repair.
* We recommend that you should make sure that no abnormalities are found in the wrist strap before sending it in for repair.

* Clearly stipulate “repair only” or “repair and calibration” when sending it in for repair.
