POINT 4. Accuracy check method |
| The HAKKO 498 accuracy check method is shown as follows: |
[HAKKO 498 Accuracy Check Method] |
•Measuring instruments used
Digital multimeter and resistors
•Measurement conditions
Measurement shall be performed at 10 to 40°C and 10 to 80% (humidity) at a place 2m or more away from a fluorescent light.
•Measurement method
Connect the resistors shown in the following table between the HAKKO 498 grounding wire connector and the pad (which is held pushed) to check that the lamp is lit and the buzzer sounds. Use a test bar instead of pushing the pad with your hand.
| Value of resistor to be connected |
Lighting of lamp |
Buzzer sound |
| 799.9KΩ |
LOW lamp is lit |
- |
| 880.0KΩ |
GOOD lamp is lit |
Buzzer sounds. |
| 8.1MΩ |
GOOD lamp is lit |
Buzzer sounds. |
| 9.1MΩ |
HIGH lamp is lit |
- |
1.
Check the resistance value of the resistor using the digital multimeter.

2.
Connect the resistors shown in the table sequentially and check that the lamp is lit and the buzzer sounds.

[ As a result of the check, if the unit does not operate as described above:]
Send it to the place of purchase for repair. |
* We recommend that you should make sure that no abnormalities are found in the wrist strap before sending it in for repair.
*
Clearly stipulate “repair only” or “repair and calibration” when sending it in for repair. |
